Escaped her death at the hands of her family, because she married the man she loves


According to British newspaper Daily Mail, Pakistani girl escaped from death, after her family members tried to kill her by shooting her twice, and dumped her in a canal , because she escaped and married her love of her life.

A spokesman of the police in the Pakistani in Punjab province Abad Said Ali Akbar that Saba the 18 years old girl, was assaulted by her father, uncle, aunt, and her brother, then  thrown into a canal.

He explained that her family members  her twice, after a few days of  her marriage to her neighbor named Mohammed Caesar,pointing out that they put her in a bag, and thrown her in a canal and they assumed that she was dead. He added that "Saba was injured in her cheek and her right hand, after they throw her in the water she regained her consciousness, and struggled to get to a nearby gas station, where passers-by helped her. The girl stated that she fears death and she's asking  the authorities to provide her a protection. A police region officer said the, Ali Akbar: "we have taken the girl to a private room in the hospital, and officers are helping to keep her safe."


Many Pakistani families think it is disgraceful for a woman to fall in love and choose her husband, as she have to accept arranged marriages.
