79-year-old Paddy performing a salsa routine that would put dancers half her age to shame

Acrobatic dancing granny Paddy whose 79 years old and her younger (and Spanish) partner Nico made quite an impression with their suggestive salsa on the first dose of Britain’s Got Talent – and not least on the judges.

Their dance routine impressed the judges so much - even Simon Cowell, who minutes before the act took to the stage revealed that ballroom dancing bored him to tears - that Amanda Holden became the first person on the panel to push the ‘golden buzzer’, automatically putting Paddy and Nico through to the next round.
